Associate Professor S O Wikstrom has during 20 years (nearly 400 ear reconstructions) been the head of Scandinavian Ear Reconstruction Centre at the Skane University Hospital in Malmo, Sweden. From January 2016 he will be leading the new NordicEar, based in Stockholm at Sophiahemmet Hospital. At NordicEar we can offer partial and total ear reconstruction after trauma or tumour surgery as well as in patients with congenital deformities such as microtia. Primary and secondary otoplasties will also be part of the surgical diagnosis. The majority of the operations will be performed at Sophiahemmet in Stockholm. Minor reconstructions will also be done at the Plastic Surgery Institute in Malmo.
Being the president of the International Society for Auricular Reconstruction ISAR (www.isar.cc) dr Wikstrom travels regularly abroad being invited to give lectures. Through NordicEar dr Wikstrom will be able to provide lectures and surgical training both in Sweden and abroad.
